A four-month-old baby boy under the care of a daycare center in Bandar Saujana Putra, Kuala Langat, Malaysia, died last Friday. The Selangor Social Welfare Department (JKM) was informed by police on Sunday and immediately closed the daycare, halting its operations since Monday. The baby was taken to a clinic in the area in a critical condition, with pale skin, bluish lips and feet, no pulse or breathing, and unresponsive pupils. Doctors performed CPR and provided oxygen while awaiting an ambulance to transport the baby to Cyberjaya Hospital.

“JKM dapat pemakluman dari pihak polis berhubung kes ini pada Ahad, 5 Januari. Pada Isnin 6hb, JKM turun ke taska dan mengarahkan taska menutup operasi mulai 7 Januari. JKM kemudiannya turun ke taska pada Isnin lalu dan mengarahkannya mulai kelmarin,” katanya ketika dihubungi, hari ini. Susulan itu, polis membuka kertas siasatan selepas menerima laporan daripada doktor yang bertugas di klinik berkenaan.
Menurutnya, polis menerima laporan daripada doktor yang bertugas di klinik berkenaan kira-kira pukul 3.39 petang dan diberitahu sudah melakukan usaha menyelamat bayi berkenaan sebelum merujuknya ke Hospital Cyberjaya.
