Four giant screens will be installed around Stadthuys and other locations in Melaka for the Bahtera Merdeka public gathering on February 20th, coinciding with the anniversary of the Federation of Malaya's independence. The screens will allow visitors to view activities and programs starting at 9 pm. The Melaka Historic City Council (MBMB) will assist with traffic management and parking arrangements, ensuring no major road closures and utilizing the weekend Car-Free Zone approach. Over 4,000 parking spaces will be available in Banda Hilir and other convenient facilities like public restrooms.

“The screens will be installed around the area, including along Jalan Laksamana, with installation set to begin this Monday. The council will assist the state government in traffic management and parking arrangements. The event was officiated by the senior state executive councillor for Housing, Local Government, Drainage, Climate Change, and Disaster Management, Datuk Rais Yasin.
