Fort Bend Marshall will face Huntsville in the bi-district playoffs.

Fort Bend Marshall left no doubt Thursday, pounding Dayton for 377 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground en route to a 52-21 win at Bronco Stadium in Dayton. Three running backs notched two scores apiece in the Buffalos’ third consecutive district championship and fourth in five years.

The Buffalos scored on four consecutive possessions to seize a 28-7 lead with 6:02 remaining in the first half. They moved quickly on the ground early, with RB Jy’Adrian Wortham notching the first TD on an 8-yard run, then opened up in the second quarter, with a 16-yard grab by WR Ja’Koby Banks setting up another 8-yard TD run by Wortham. That score came after a fumble recovery by DE Joshua Lair.

QB Carson Horton found the end zone on the Broncos’ third series. But his early 30-yard, game-tying touchdown – set up by C.J. Hubert’s 55-yard kick return – was the team’s only first down for the next 10 minutes, putting them in a three-score hole.
