Former Victorian governor Linda Dessau has been named as the new deputy chair of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation.

The Allan government has revealed a former Victorian governor has been appointed to the Australian Grand Prix Corporation board where she will serve as deputy to chair and former Labor minister Martin Pakula.

Ms Dessau finished her eight-year term as governor at the end of June last year, after previously spending 18 years as a Family Court judge. Ms Dessau is one of two new faces on the AGPC board, alongside Dr Gillian Sparkes. They replace Kate Lundy, a former federal Labor minister, and Tal Karp.
