Former Houston Astros ace Dallas Keuchel has been out of baseball for the past nine...
but made just two starts, giving up 14 runs in 10 innings before being released again.
Keuchel was a key part of the Astros' rise from doormat to World Series champion, making his big league debut in 2012, then going on to win the American League Cy Young Award with a 20-8 record and a 2.48 ERA on the 2015 team that returned to the postseason. He went 14-5 with a 2.90 ERA on the Astros' first championship team in 2017.
Keuchel left after the 2018 season when he was at odds with then-Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow. Keuchel didn't sign until June 2019, when he agreed to a one-year, $21 million deal with the Atlanta Braves, telling the Houston Chronicle that leaving Houston wasn't that difficult"
