The Youth and Sports Ministry (KBS) condemned a brawl involving football fans at the Bandar Tasik Selatan Light Rail Transit (LRT) Station on Friday. Minister Hannah Yeoh stressed that winning and losing is part of the game and all parties must respect government assets, which are funded by taxpayers, including the perpetrators themselves.
She emphasized that damaging public infrastructure is unacceptable and urged fans to reciprocate the extended service hours Prasarana provides for football supporters. Prasarana confirmed filing a police report about the incident at the Sungai Besi Police Station. The incident caused damage to station facilities, including train doors and windows, but no injuries were reported. Cheras police chief ACP Aidil Bolhassan stated that 20 to 30 individuals were involved in the brawl, which included fighting, littering, and kicking train doors. No arrests have been made yet, and the case is under investigation under Sections 147 and 427 of the Penal Code
