The number of flood evacuees in Sabah increased on Sunday evening, while those in Sarawak decreased. In Sabah , 1,034 people from 322 families were in relief centers as of 8 pm Sunday, compared to 989 people from 308 families at 4 pm. 538 people from 177 families were taking shelter in two centers in Beaufort, 275 people from 71 families in two centers in Kinabatangan, and 221 people from 74 families in one center in Membakut.
The Sabah state disaster management committee reported that the number of evacuees in Beaufort and Kinabatangan remained steady, while those in Membakut had risen. Meanwhile, in Sarawak, the number of evacuees decreased to 1,570 people as of 8 pm from 1,877 people Sunday afternoon.
