(Reuters) - The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday approved applications from Nasdaq, CBOE and NYSE to list exchange-traded funds (ETFs) tied to the price of ether, potentially paving the way for the products to begin trading later this year.

“Once the government finalises this aspect, an announcement will be made on the start date,” he told a press conference at the Klang Utara rest stop yesterday.“We are also currently working on a mechanism to ensure those eligible for aid will not be left out,” he said, adding that the decision to rationalise diesel subsidies was not done brashly.“The government is not abolishing subsidies, but rationalising them,” he said.
“The measures will be announced once there is a start date for the implementation of the diesel subsidy rationalisation,” he said.
