Fishermen in Pangkalan Penghulu, Serkat, near Pontian, Malaysia, express disappointment over the unfulfilled promise of a new jetty despite waiting for seven years. They claim a 120-meter jetty costing RM1 million was promised by the late Datuk Seri Sallehudin Ayub in 2018. The existing jetty is damaged, and over 100 fishermen hope the new one will improve their safety and convenience. The RM1 million also promised includes construction of a mosque, a canteen, and an engine repair workshop.
