It’s got to be a space that makes you feel good, and what makes me feel good will be very different to what makes you feel good.
"If you’re creating a happy space, it’s much less trend-driven and much more intuitive with colours, textures or things that make you feel happy in that space."For me, it’s about having an air of calm because I don’t feel like there’s much calm in my life normally. If I can cultivate it in my house, and use bits of my home as a little sanctuary to escape the constant emails and craziness of work and having a family, then that’s what I’m aiming for.
"The Reading Nook we've created with eBay is so beautiful because it’s calming, but it’s not how you would imagine it. It’s not all monochrome or cream and light tones. It’s really vibrant in rich colours like bright turquoise and orange… but they’re very earthy so you feel really grounded."We've used a beautiful turquoise armchair and a very soft rug with an orange border, it feels like you're getting a big hug.
