A major factory fire in Sydney's southwest has caused traffic chaos for morning peak hour commuters on Tuesday. Emergency crews were alerted just after 2:40am to a fire engulfing a Canterbury appliance store. More than 70 firefighters and 25 trucks attended the scene to contain the blaze as fears the fire could have ignited a service station storing more than 100,000 litres of petrol. Motorists are being asked to avoid the area with Canterbury Road blocked off between Fore and Wonga Street. No one has been injured and investigations are underway on what caused the blaze.
