KOTA KINABALU: The absence of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia's assemblymen at Saturday's state-level National Day celebrations is raising eyebrows among political circles.
, who is state Infrastructure Development Minister, said that invitations were sent out to everyone and it was up to the invitees to attend or not.
"Maybe they had other schedules and could not attend," he said when asked about the noticeable absence of the Sabah Bersatu leaders at the National Day celebrations. When contacted Sunday , Sabah Bersatu deputy chairman Datuk Masidi Manjun said that none of them received any invitation.
