A program providing eye screenings and corrective measures to students in Year 1 from B40 and M40 families will be expanded across Malaysia. The initiative, a collaboration between the Ministry of Education (KPM) and the Ministry of Health (KKM), aims to prioritize student eye health and address learning difficulties. The Ministry of Health targets to screen over five percent of students compared to the current rate.
Program pengesahan dan pembetulan ketajaman penglihatan mata kepada murid Tahun 1 daripada keluarga B40 serta M40, dilaporkan akan diperluas ke seluruh negara. Menteri Pendidikan, Fadhlina Sidek baru-baru ini berkata, inisiatif Kementerian Pendidikan dengan kerjasama Kementerian Kesihatan itu amat penting bagi memastikan isu kesihatan penglihatan murid terus diberi keutamaan.
Lebih-lebih lagi program itu adalah sebagai antara jalan penyelesaian kepada masalah pembelajaran dalam kalangan anak-anak di sekolah.
