Newly promoted Victorian Liberal MP Evan Mulholland says a crop of Millennial MPs are renewing the party after he was elevated to the shadow ministry.
“If you’re an outer-suburban mid-30s Victorian with a mortgage and a couple of kids, I’m in your corner, and you’ve got a seat at the table,” he said. He said the opposition had a “strong week” in parliament despite the fact a group of rebel MPs had pushed to stop the party funding his legal defence.
