Eight Malaysian students studying at Al-Azhar University in Egypt were involved in a car accident while on a trip to Port Said. Five students sustained minor injuries and were treated as outpatients, while three others were admitted to the ward for further observation. All students involved are receiving medical attention, and EME is providing support and assistance.
Eight Malaysian students studying at Al-Azhar University were involved in a car accident while on a trip to Port Said around 12 noon. In a statement, Education Malaysia Egypt (EME) confirmed the incident, stating that five students, Muhammad Firdaus bin Yacob, Muhammad Adli Fitri bin Mohd Anuar, Shahrul Aiman bin Jaafar, Muhammad Zulfiqar bin Ahmad Tarmizi, and Muhammad Hazieq Badrisyah bin Norhamedon, sustained minor injuries and were treated as outpatients.
Meanwhile, three other students, Muhammad Zafri bin Abdul Rasyid, Muhammad Sulhi bin Nazri, and Muhammad Rais Zafran bin Muhammad Shuhaimi, were admitted to the ward for further observation by hospital staff. 'The incident also drew the attention of Al-Azhar University, where they dispatched staff from the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies (Female Students) campus Port Said, Dr Syaima Amir Al Bana, Dr Fauziyah Muhallal, Dr Ahmad Al Sudani, and Madam Syaima’ Al Huseini, to assist in the treatment of the students and facilitate management with the hospital,' the statement read. 'By early morning today, the three students who were being treated in the ward have been safely transferred to Sayed Galal Hospital in Cairo for further treatment.' EME expressed its well wishes for all the students involved, praying for their speedy recovery and strength throughout their treatment. EME also advised students to always be cautious and vigilant in all their activities to prevent any unwanted incidents
