Eight individuals, including six vehicle inspectors, have been arrested in Malaysia for allegedly being involved in a syndicate that approved inspections of heavy vehicles at a vehicle inspection center near the capital, Putrajaya.
PUTRAJAYA: Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia menahan lapan individu termasuk enam pegawai pemeriksa kenderaan disyaki terlibat dalam sindiket meluluskan pemeriksaan kenderaan berat di sebuah pusat pemeriksaan kenderaan di sekitar ibu negara.
“Penahanan kesemua suspek adalah hasil soal siasat yang dijalankan oleh SPRM terhadap seorang ejen yang diserahkan oleh Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan sebelum ini. Sementara itu, dua lagi individu ditahan reman selama lima hari bermula semalam sehingga 11 Januari 2025.
