The East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) track section from Maran in Pahang to Kota Bharu in Kelantan has been finished two and a half months early. The project, including the Kota Bharu and Pasir Puteh stations, is 87.8% complete. The ECRL, a 665-km line, will connect the East Coast states of Kelantan, Terengganu, and Pahang to Port Klang in Selangor. The Kota Bharu-Gombak Terminal line is expected to be operational by January 2027.
