Having done everything possible to oppose action to mitigate climate change and replace fossil fuels with renewable energy sources, the federal opposition has suddenly decided to embrace the most ill-conceived and inappropriate solution for us . Nuclear energy produces the most expensive energy compared to renewables; we have no local expertise in building and operating anything nuclear, or to refine, purify and enrich our own uranium.
