The Dutch ambassador for human rights has expressed her admiration for the crucial works done by members of the civil society despite "challenging circumstances" to ensure that democracy and accountability remain respected in the country.
"The Netherlands appreciates the valuable insights gained and looks forward to continue the constructive human rights dialogue with the Philippines," Tahzib-Le added in her statement released Wednesday night.During her stay, the Dutch envoy met with various government officials, including Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, Press Secretary Cheloy Garafil and Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte.
