PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong paid his last respects to former MCA president Tan Sri Lee San Choon at his funeral on Tuesday (March 7).

"He was a leader who had greatly contributed to nation-building."My thoughts and prayers are with the family during their time of mourning," the Ayer Hitam MP said.

With him at the funeral were MCA deputy president Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon, secretary-general Datuk Chong Sin Woon, vice-presidents Datuk Lim Ban Hong and Datuk Seri Yew Teong Look, MCA Youth chief Datuk Nicole Wong, party veterans including Tan Sri Tan Koon Swan, Tan Sri Chan Kong Choy, Datuk Fu Ah Kiow, Datuk Seri Kee Yong Wee and other MCA leaders.

Lee was the fourth MCA president and had an illustrious political career, having held various positions in the party and the government such as special functions minister, works minister, and transport minister.Article type: free
