KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 25 — Malaysia needs to find ways to switch from scrap rubber to improve latex production, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
“Malaysia is the world’s largest rubber producer and a glove-producing country, with latex as the primary material. But why do we have to import latex? On ways to facilitate latex production, Ahmad Zahid said they include strengthening existing cooperatives and working with non-governmental organisations related to rubber plantation settlers.
