Domestic Trade Ministry to monitor child safety seat sales
Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Saifuddin Nasution Ismail says guidelines on the characteristics for child restraint seats have already been issued by the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, December 29, 2019.
THE Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs will closely monitor the online sales of child safety seats to ensure they comply with the stipulated standards. Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the ministry had the right and duty in terms of enforcement to ensure fake or unsafe goods did not reach the market.
