These cases brought the number of active infections nationwide to 18,348, as shown in the DOH’s Covid-19 tracker. The regions with the highest recorded infections in the past 14 days were the National Capital Region with 3,418 cases, followed by Calabarzon with 1,801; Western Visayas with 1,162; Central Luzon with 994; and Central Visayas with 982.Of the total, the DOH said 3,949,407 patients were able to recover from Covid-19. However, the viral disease claimed the lives of 64,571 people.
