The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday registered 1,353 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the active tally to 17,945.  This was an increase from Thursday's 17,393 active cases.

The Department of Health on Friday registered 1,353 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the active tally to 17,945. This was an increase from Thursday's 17,393 active cases.Among the regions with the most infections in the past two weeks were the National Capital Region with 3,510 cases, followed by Calabarzon with 1,900; Western Visayas with 1,315; Central Luzon with 1,062; and Central Visayas with 1,027.Meanwhile, at least 24 new fatalities were recorded pushing the death tally to 64,548.

The bed occupancy in the country stood at 23.4% with 6,635 beds occupied, while 21,770 were vacant as of Wednesday, November 23. A total of 12,533 individuals were tested, while 344 testing labs submitted data as of Thursday, November 24.
