KUALA LUMPUR: A three-day discount period for police compound begins today.
The offer will last until Thursday and is valid for in-person payments at the Jalan Tun H.S. Lee Traffic Police Station from 8.30am to 4.30pm on all three days.
Those who had been issued summons, and who wish to pay via the MyBayar Saman app must also be present in person at the station to scan the discount barcode. The announcement about the discount period was made on the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Face-book page recently, where it stated that discounts of up to 50% will be offered.
Traffic compound notices issued by the police outside Kuala Lumpur will also be eligible for the discount. However, the following offences will not be eligible for the discount, such as those in the non-compoundable category such as emergency lane misuse, exhaust modifications, cases that are on trial, offences related to heavy vehicles, running the traffic light, and overtaking on double lines.
