As part of its goal to end the digital divide, DICT has conducted another digital literacy training. This time, it was held in Floridablanca, Pampanga from March 20 until March 24, 2023.

“This initiative aims to narrow the gap of the digital divide among the Aeta Communities of Pampanga and encourage the youth to become more proficient and knowledgeable in the use of technology and digital information,” said DICT. Topics discussed include the use of online tools such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Sites. Data privacy and cybersecurity were also highlighted during the five-day community-based training.“Each graduate also received P1,000 cash assistance, food packs, hygiene kit, certificate and flash drive sponsored by the Provincial Government of Pampanga,” DICT added.

The DICT expressed its goal to pursue more sustainable programs in relation with information and communications technology for the benefit of IP communities across the nation.
