IPOH: DAP has sacked three state party members and issued show cause letters to eight others for assisting and being seen with two former party state assemblymen.

Its disciplinary committee chairman Chong Chieng Jen said on Tuesday that Kong Lai Ling, Ng Sook Whye and Khi Poh Chong were sacked with immediate effect for actively helping Tronoh assemblyman Paul Yong Choo Kiong, who was sacked by the party.

"All were found to be actively helping Yong after he was sacked by the party and despite warnings issued not to be with state representatives who have been sacked or hopped to another party," he said."Kong has also taken up a post as a Batu Gajah district councillor under the Perikatan Nasional state government," he said.

Those present, he said, included D.V. Dan Adriel, J.P. Angeline Phillip, P. Murugiah, K.P.J. Joseph Hendry, Amir Abdullah, R. Marimutu, S. Theivanai and J.B. William John.
