The Health Ministry's CovidNow portal reported that 4,497 of Wednesday's new Covid-19 cases were local transmissions, while there were 6 imported infections.
There are currently 46,906 active Covid-19 infections in Malaysia, with 96.6%, or 45,318 individuals, observing home quarantine and 24 patients, or 0.1%, being attended to at quarantine and treatment centres throughout the country. According to the Health Ministry's GitHub data repository, Malaysia recorded 10 deaths due to Covid-19 on Wednesday, including four classified as"brought-in-dead" .
