KOTA KINABALU: A man has taken to social media to rant about the conditions of a Covid-19 quarantine and treatment centre in Kunak, which he described as uninhabitable.

The complainant, Junaidi Louis Jimir, said his 73-year-old father contracted the virus recently and was sent to the Dewan Arena Belia quarantine centre in Kunak for treatment.

Junaidi also expressed concern over the seemingly lax standard operating procedures in the quarantine centre, claiming that beds were placed too close to one another while pillows and beds were provided without any sheets covering them. Junaidi said that these are just his views and concerns, and that they do not represent the opinions of others.

It is coordinated by the local authorities including district offices, district health officials and civil defence officials in the areas concerned.
