PETALING JAYA: Malaysia administered 517,692 doses of Covid-19 vaccines on Thursday (Aug 19), says the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).
In a series of tweets on Friday , JKJAV said 180,810 people received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, while 336,882 individuals received their second dose.
Johor administered the most first doses with 32,966 jabs given, followed by Sabah , Terengganu and Penang . For second doses, Selangor led the way with 91,218 jabs, followed by Kuala Lumpur , Johor and Sabah . JKJAV said that since the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme had begun, a total of 29,886,548 Covid-19 vaccine doses had been administered in the country.
It added that so far, 76.1% of the adult population had received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, while 51.6% of the adult population had received both doses and were fully vaccinated.
