PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry has now moved its Covid-19 focus on some 8,616 tahfiz students from madrasah schools throughout the country.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said this was after 217 tahfiz students were among total amount of people who tested positive for the virus so far.“Now we are looking tahfiz students in madrasah schools.“But there are many who have left the schools and returned to their hometowns before the MCO , ” he said at the ministry’s daily Covid-19 press conference here.
Four madrasah schools have been earmarked by the ministry as Covid-19 clusters, and they are located at Jerantut in Pahang, Penanti in Penang, Sungai Lui in Hulu Langat, Selangor, as well as Jasin in Melaka.
