PUTRAJAYA: The Federal Court will hear an application brought by former Perak executive councillor Paul Yong on Nov 12 to submit new evidence in an attempt to overturn his conviction for raping his maid.

A case management session was held on Friday before Federal Court deputy registrar Faezahnoor Hassan. On March 1 this year, the Court of Appeal, in a split decision, dismissed Yong's appeal and upheld his conviction for the offence.
