The FSIS notice said Foster Farms produced the recalled chicken on Aug. 11 and shipped it to Costco distribution centers across Arizona, California, Colorado, Utah and Washington.Consumers reportedly notified the FSIS after finding clear plastic pieces inside their breaded chicken breast patties.
“There have been no confirmed reports of injury associated with consumption of this product, but FSIS believes the hard plastic pieces could be sharp and possibly cause an injury,”“Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.” Those who might have the affected products should look out for 80-ounce plastic bags with 20 pieces of “Chicken Patties Breaded Chicken Breast Patties with Rib Meat.”The FSIS advises people with the chicken to discard it or return it to the store where they purchased it.
