Police have recorded the statements of four Opposition MPs - Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng, Simpang Renggam MP Dr Maszlee Malik, Damansara MP Tony Pua and Lembah Pantai MP Fahmi Fadzil, in connection with the rally near Dataran Merdeka on Monday. Read more at

The four were Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng, Simpang Renggam MP Dr Maszlee Malik, Damansara MP Tony Pua and Lembah Pantai MP Fahmi Fadzil.

"I told police that we did not gather or hold a rally, instead we were prevented from entering Parliament grounds," he told reporters after having his statement recorded."So far, there is no need for me to return to give further statements.On a separate matter, Fahmi said he has lodged a police report against Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin for allegedly disrespecting the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong during an interview recently.

Meanwhile, two other MPs - Muar MP Syed Saddique and Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh - are expected to have their statements recorded at about 2.30pm at the police headquarters. Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Azmi Abu Kassim had said all individuals, including MPs, who were involved in the rally near Dataran Merdeka on Monday will be called up by the cops to assist investigations.
