KUALA SELANGOR: Police have taken statements from 33 people in connection with the wedding which occurred at a temple at Taman Serdang Raya during the conditional movement control order (MCO).
Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Fadzil Ahmat said statements were taken from 18 individuals from the temple as well as 15 others linked to the bride and groom."He lodged a police report after he was threatened," SAC Fadzil told reporters at the Kuala Selangor police headquarters on Tuesday .
On claims by the temple committee that they had not initially denied the wedding took place as no police personnel had talked to them on Sunday , SAC Fadzil said he was unsure of the exact time the police initially went to the temple, but the standard operating procedure for them was to immediately begin investigations once they receive information.
ACP Ismadi was quoted saying that a police inspector went to the temple at Taman Serdang Raya around 7.45am on Monday to meet with the committee.
