PETALING JAYA: The usually lively Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration was toned down a few notches this year as families adhered to rules to curb the spread of Covid-19.
Police conducting checks in Kg Perepat in Klang found residents there had kept to the 20-person limit as they celebrated the end of Ramadan.
"We got a bird's eye view of the area of 290 houses and we were able to identify 11 houses there with an unusual number of cars," he said. "When we inspected the houses, we were happy to note that those houses were hosting within the limit and none of the cars was from out of state," he said, adding that police reminded residents to practise good hygiene and social distancing.During the operation, police also advised against playing with firecrackers.
