PETALING JAYA: A ketum leaf processing operation here has been busted by police.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said five men were arrested in Taman Medan on Wednesday .“One plastic container that held 92 bottles of suspected ketum water was found.
In total it is estimated that 138 litres of ketum water were seized,” he told a press conference here on Friday .The estimated street value of 1kg of ketum leaves is RM40 while a 1.5 litre bottle of ketum water is RM15.Investigations found that four of the suspects had records.ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin said all the suspects had been remanded for four days.
