The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued danger and severe-level continuous rain warnings for various areas in Sarawak and Sabah until Friday (Jan 31). The warnings cover multiple districts and cities, urging residents to be prepared for potential flooding and landslides.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a danger-level continuous rain warning for eight areas in Sarawak until Friday .
MetMalaysia said in a statement today that the eight areas are Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sarike , Sibu , Mukah, Bintulu as well as Miri . It also issued a severe-level continuous rain warning for the same period for several areas in Sarawak, namely Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei , Sibu , Kapit , Bintulu and Miri .
MetMalaysia has also issued a similar warning until Friday for Sabah, involving Ranau, Kota Belud, Sandakan as well as Kudat.
