Chris Stapleton teams up with Buffalo Trace Distillery on a single barrel bourbon release for charity. RSRecommends
The second release up for auction includes a bottle of the Stapleton Single Barrel, plus two tickets to any Stapleton concert in 2022, along with E. H. Taylor, Jr. merchandise. Other bottles will be released throughout the year through Stapleton’s charitable fund, Outlaw State of Kind.
The bottles were released in conjunction with the 125th anniversary of “Bottled in Bond Day,” on March 3. It marks the day Congress passed the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897, which was the first piece of legislation that gaveThe bottle, meantime, is named after Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr., who was nicknamed the “Father of the Modern Bourbon Industry” for leading the charge to get the Bottled in Bond Act passed.
Stapleton, who’s been a long-time fan of E. H. Taylor bourbon, says it was a no-brainer to team up with the brand. “The first glass of E.H. Taylor, Jr. I ever had was in the studio,” he says, in a release. “That week we recorded an entire album, and that album wasWe’ve made it a point to keep a bottle around ever since. We’re proud to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Bottled in Bond Day with this special Single Barrel bottling,” he continues.
This is the second year that Stapleton has partnered up with E.H. Taylor for “Bottled in Bond Day.” The singer offered up five signed bottles for bidding last year, with all proceeds benefiting disaster relief in Texas and Kentucky, after winter storms and flooding ravaged a number of communities.
