A six-year-old child, Nur Aqifah Humaira Abdullah, died after her neck became trapped in the legs of a folding table at her home in NIBONG TEBAL, Penang . The tragedy occurred on New Year's Day, while the child was playing alone in the compound. Her oldest brother discovered her and their mother rushed her to Hospital Parit Buntar. Despite medical efforts, the girl was pronounced dead at 12.30am on January 2nd.
Police have confirmed there was no foul play, and the cause of death is believed to be cerebral edema due to asphyxia
