A child psychologist, Amirul Arif Bin Mohd Yunos, aged 38, has been sentenced to eight and a half years in prison after being found guilty of sexual offenses against a teenage girl in Ireland. He was employed at the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) center in Clonskeagh, Dublin. He pleaded guilty to six counts of sexual acts involving a child under 17, one count of child sexual exploitation, and one count of meeting a child for sexual exploitation purposes.
Seorang pakar psikiatri kanak-kanak dipenjara lapan tahun enam bulan selepas didapati bersalah atas pertuduhan melakukan jenayah penderaan seksual terhadap seorang remaja perempuan di Ireland .
Pesalah sebelum ini tidak mempunyai sabitan dan berada dalam tahanan berhubung kesalahan ini sejak 14 bulan lalu. Kebanyakan insiden membabitkan remaja itu berlaku ketika dia berusia 15 tahun dan kejadian terakhir berlaku pada September 2023 semasa dia sudah berumur 16 tahun. Susulan kejadian itu, mangsa yang kini berusia 17 tahun dilaporkan mengalami trauma dan tekanan mental yang berlarutan.
Remaja berkenaan dipercayai mahu memberitahu kepada isteri Amirul tetapi dihalang oleh pakar pskiatri terbabit.
