On Tuesday, June 13, the Commision on Higher Education (CHED) and the National University (NU) Sports Academy signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for a programme to train top coaches to help athletes excel. | ManilaBulletin
Present during the MoA signing were CHED Chairman J. Prospero De Vera III, CHED Executive Director Atty. Cinderella Benitez-Jaro, NU Chairman of the Board Hans T. Sy, and NU President Renato C. Ermita, Jr.
De Vera explained that CHED chose NU due to its educational history, type of training, and excellent sports facilities. De Vera noted that the Philippines has over 2,000 public and private universities --- all of which have coaches for the various sports in which they compete.
