As the 40-day Lenten season begins, Apostolic Vicariate of Taytay, Palawan Bishop Broderick Pabillo called on the faithful to observe and support the “No Meat Friday” campaign of the Catholic Church.
The chairman of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference Philippines—Episcopal Office on Stewardship said the observance of the No Meat Friday campaign may be considered as a personal sacrifice during Lent.
“Skipping meat on Fridays can also help make us healthier as well boost the Church’s campaign on climate change,” the Church leader said.
