Pagpasok pa lamang ay punong-puno na ng bulaklak ang Queen of Angels Chapel kung saan nakahimlay ang labi ng dating mayor.
Inamin naman ng kapatid nito na naaksidente si Fernando habang may kinukumpuni sa bubungan ng kanilang bahay sa Marikina City. Nanungkulan siya bilang mayor ng Marikina mula 1992 hanggang 2001, chairman ng MMDA mula 2002-2009, at congressman ng Marikina 1st District mula 2016 hanggang 2022.
