BMW was forced to increase M3 Touring production.
. During the conversation, the CEO noted that the company was surprised by the amount of interest in the M3 Touring since its debut during last year's Goodwood Festival of Speed event. In fact, the company had to facilitate a production ramp-up within its Munich facility in order to try and meet that demand. Despite that increased production, the backlog of orders means customers are still going to be waiting regardless.
It’s possible the car also carried the 543 hp and 479 lb-ft variant of the M3’s 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight six. Rumors suggested that BMW was investigating a hardcore CS variant of the Touring, but the brand will need capacity in the factory to build it. According toHopefully BMW is able to put some heads together and figure these issues out, as the world deserves more M3 Tourings, whether they carry a CS badge or not.
