I often wonder why it has to be the tough experiences that provide that clarity; why we can't understand these things more easily without experiencing trauma.
I posted a shawl and a beanie to some friends in Melbourne yesterday and just knowing that I can pass what I've made on, that my "knitworthy" loved ones are going to find happiness in what I've made and wear it, fills me with an immense sense of pride.
