Ortiz proved to be the man Blackwater can rely on when it’s winning time, dropping 13 of his 28 points in the payoff period to tow his team to a 1-1 record in the preseason joust. Blackwater had to buck a slow start in the contest as it trailed 40-21 in the second frame as Rivero and import Jonathan Williams III combined for 22 points in the opening frame.
