PRESIDENT Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. declared Monday, December 26, a special non-working holiday across the country, the Office of the Press Secretary announced on Thursday.Marcos made the declaration through Proclamation 115.

'A longer weekend will encourage families to get together and strengthen their relationship towards a more productive environment, and will promote tourism,' the proclamation read.The President had also ordered the Department of Labor and Employment to issue a circular in implementing this proclamation to the private sector.Marcos' proclamation was made, as Christmas Day, December 25, falls on a Sunday.The day after New Year's Day, Jan.
