THE Department of Education said that it respects the power of the President to veto certain provisions of the 2022 National Budget.President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. vetoed the DepEd's special provision 4 in the 2023 General Appropriations Act, which is the 'revolving fund for DepEd TV', noting that there is no law authorizing DepEd to establish a revolving fund for the purpose.

In a message to The Manila Times on Wednesday Night, DepEd spokesman Michael Wesley Poa said that they respected President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s decision to veto the provision.'The DepEd recognizes and respects the veto power of the President.' Poa said.
