A stream of VIP cars and security personnel were seen going to Azmin Ali’s home tonight, watched by members of the media.

Sources close to FMT confirmed that former Umno vice-president Hishammuddin Hussein and around two dozen other Barisan MPs are at Azmin’s house. Immediately after the election, a flurry of political commentators began calling for Mahathir to make way for PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, as agreed by Pakatan Harapan before the 2018 general election.The gathering is part of a continuing behind-the-scenes struggle between Mahathir and Anwar Ibrahim, and between Anwar and Azmin.
